Magic link
A single-use, time-limited sign-in link Truestamp emails to your address as a passwordless alternative to password sign-in; if no account exists for that email one is created on the spot, and an enabled TOTP second factor still applies after the link signs you in.
Overview
A magic link is Truestamp’s passwordless sign-in method: you enter your email address and Truestamp emails you a one-time link that signs you in when clicked. The link is single-purpose and time-limited; it works once, for a short period, and only for the address it was sent to. If no account yet exists for that email, signing in with a magic link creates one, so it doubles as a lightweight way to register (see the life of a Truestamp account for what a new account receives). A magic link replaces only the password step: if you have enabled TOTP two-factor authentication, you still complete the second-factor step after the link signs you in. The full sign-in flow is covered in signing in to Truestamp.
