CLI (truestamp)

The open-source truestamp command-line client, a single static binary for macOS, Linux, and Windows that submits items, downloads proof bundles, and verifies proofs fully offline without an account, signing in through the browser as a pre-registered OAuth 2.1 PKCE client.

Overview

The truestamp CLI is Truestamp’s open-source terminal client: a single static binary for macOS, Linux, and Windows with no runtime dependencies. It covers the whole proof lifecycle from a shell: truestamp create hashes a file locally and submits the claim, truestamp download fetches the proof bundle once the item is committed, and truestamp verify checks any proof fully offline, with no account and no call to Truestamp (see offline verification). For commands that act on your account it never asks for credentials in the terminal: the CLI is a pre-registered, first-party OAuth 2.1 client that signs you in through your browser with the PKCE flow and renews access silently with refresh tokens. Install methods, commands, and the sign-in details are in the Truestamp CLI concept.
