Ownership
The transferable rights holder of a Truestamp item, either a single user or a team, that every rights decision (read, update, redact, restore, delete, reassign) is authorized against; ownership can change hands without altering any hash, so an existing proof stays valid across transfers.
Overview
Ownership is the transferable answer to “who has rights over this item right now?” The owner is either a single user or a whole team, and it is the one thing every rights decision keys off: reading an item, updating it, redacting or restoring its contents, scheduling or cancelling deletion, and reassigning it are all authorized against the current owner (or an admin or owner of the owning team), never against authorship. Each team picks a default owner for newly submitted items through its ownership model, either creator retains (the submitter owns their items, the default) or team retains (the team owns them). Because no ownership or authorship field participates in any of the item’s hashes, transferring ownership never invalidates a proof.
