Stellar

A public blockchain Truestamp uses two ways: Stellar ledger closes are captured as entropy observations, and epoch roots are committed as a transaction MEMO_HASH, appearing in proof bundles as cx entries with type code 40 and net testnet or public.

Overview

Stellar is a public blockchain that Truestamp uses in two independent roles. As an entropy source, each closed Stellar ledger’s consensus hash is captured as an entropy observation that joins a Truestamp block’s Merkle tree (see external entropy sources). As a commitment chain, epoch roots are recorded as a Stellar transaction’s memo hash (MEMO_HASH) as part of Block Commitment; a Stellar commitment typically appears within minutes, faster than Bitcoin, so it is usually the first public witness a block gets (see the epoch and Block Commitment). In a proof bundle, a Stellar commitment is a cx entry with type code 40 and a net of testnet or public, carrying the ledger number, transaction hash, memo, and epoch proof.
