Overview

Item retention is the plan limit deciding how long items are kept. On the Free tier items are retained for 90 days; once the window passes, a background process schedules the item for expiration deletion, moving it to the deleted_expired item state with a 7-day grace period during which the deletion can be cancelled and the item restored, and the owner is warned by email before removal happens. Paid tiers retain items indefinitely. Retention follows the item owner’s plan, and team-owned items follow the team billing owner’s plan for this purpose.
